awesome shirt

This is just about my favourite shirt ever right now. It flatters the arms, and though it is loose, I don't feel like it makes me look fat. It's like a very soft t-shirt with pretty sleeves. Old Navy has been pumping out a lot of those loose, billowy kinds of shirts of dresses right now, and everyone knows it's hard as hell to find a way to make them look good on someone whose body isn't somewhat stick like. I think that this is one of their few go-to items right now, though. They come in ten colours, though I couldn't find my size in all the colours I wanted. Right now I have a black and white one, but I really want a navy one.

They were $17.50, now $10.00 on sale. Click the picture to go to the shirt's location on the Old Navy website.

I thought I would go ahead and update my 'Deviant Artists I Admire' bracket ... I usually try to do the ones on my sidebar first, but I just really wanted to do one about this girl today ...

Loish is a Dutch animation student whose work I came across for the first time today. I have spent a few hours looking over everything, and I really think she has an incredible style. She uses a ton of colour, and I love how she draws the girls and their clothes. Just really interesting. By visiting her DA profile, you can see her gallery as well as links to other sites where she has her work, and even her own site, loish.net. Poke around a bit : D

Seriously?

I think I have an abscess between my bottom left, back most molar and my gum ... I have a ganglion cyst on the palm side of my left wrist ... and I am pretty sure I am getting sick ... the flu, perhaps.

So a few weeks ago I recieved a call that I'd won all this bridal stuff (I'm not even engaged!) like my choice of honeymoon trips and a ton of stuff for my nonexistent wedding and all that jazz. I called Zeb and told him everything I could have grasped, and he told me to check it out, because it might be a scam. I looked it up, and apparently it was.

Today, just fifteen minutes ago, I got a call from some guy telling me I was a runner up for the Publishers Closing House Sweepstakes, to which I replied that I don't even buy lottery tickets. He went on to tell me that I didn't need to buy lottery tickets because that's a never ending hole and no one would ever count all those, then also that all I needed to do was visit a website that sponsored the sweepstakes or order a magazine to even be submited. After that he started talking about Greenville and asking how I liked it, and at the beginning of the call he said it was a long distance call. So I was like, 'How is this guy just chatting me up when he said this is long distance?'

Then he proceeded to ask me which of the four major credit cards served me best. I said I didn't have a credit card, and he said, 'Well I don't either, that's not a bad thing', as if I'd somehow offended him. Then he says, 'You must have a debit card, what is the credit card mentioned on that?' I told him to hold on and asked Zeb about it, and Zeb said I should hang up, so I told the guy I had to go and did.

What the hell is with these people calling me and telling me I've won free stuff?!? It's really annoying because what if I someday do really win something awesome and free, I won't believe them and won't even get it! D:

american apparel

So I have just recently discovered the clothing brand American Apparel. Well, not so much discovered - I have seen adds for it all over the place and Alexi Wasser particularly loves the brand, and I suppose you could say that her blog is where I first actually had some kind of cemented contact with it. I have to say that I love the basicness of it, and how nineties the style seems to be, but just as modern as well. It really promotes the idea of the mix&match and can go with a lot of other things as well. I think most pieces are blenders, things that can filter into your closet and work well with lots of things, and you can get more than your money's worth for them if you treat them right.

My favourite thing that I really really want is probably this skirt/dress thing. I would probably just wear it as a skirt, or maybe underneath a sweater or vest and sometimes with leggings. It reminds me a lot of the skirt that Rachel Greene from Friends used to wear in the first season. It comes in an array of colours and they more than one style for it, and idk it's just the best thing they have. However, I also want the one in cardinal, the unisex Oxford long sleeve button up shirt in oxford blue, the sheer rib loose sleeveless dress, in nearly any colour, and their thigh highs are great, if not completely unrealistic when it comes to me and my inability to wear anything that I have to pull up every five minutes ...

bells and mack

A thread between Bella Lynne Fletcher and her best friend Heather Mckenzie Jackson. Obviously, Heather's drunk, and Bella's trying to be a good friend, but she fails at that anyway, so instead she indulges in the funness xD

Bella shrugged into her sweater and grabbed her purse. For once, she was in the superhero position, and she didn't know how in the hell she'd gotten there. She would much rather be the one needing saving. Tonight, though, it was her friend Heather who needed to be saved, and it was bad. Hearing the tell tale jingle of Pink's So What, Bella pulled her phone from her pocket and flipped it open. A message appeared on the blaring screen, making Bella walk faster.

O_O BELLA OMG HE THINKS I'M UGLY
HE JUST CALLED ME A GUY :(

Head shaking, Bella walked down the hall and past the front doorman. The parking lot outside was lit up, and Heather's dorm was only minutes away but no way in hell was she going to walk

there. There could be lurkers ... and she was pretty ... and the last thing a drunk Heather needed was her saviour getting kidnapped. She walked quickly to the car, her boots clicking against the pavement, and got in. As she pulled out, her phone rang again, and she flipped it open.
...
HE ASKED HOW I GOT HIS NUMBER
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY
OMG HE'S GOING TO HATE ME : (
CRAPPPPPPP

Bella groaned, and continued driving, while giving a half hearted attempt to write back. Before she could finish the text, however, she received a new one, and her phone buzzed to alert her to the fact.

XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
HE THINKS I'M HOTTTTTTTTTT

Bella's curls shook with her head, and she pulled into the parking lot that matched Heather's dorm. She screeched to a stop, pulled out her keys, locked and closed the door, and made a mad dash for the front entrance. The doorman held the door open for her and she pushed the button of the elevator, which opened immediately, and she stepped in and pressed the number three. The elevator whizzed up, and Bella watched as it counted the numbers. The moment the doors parted, she rushed out and down the hall, toward the room she knew was Heather's. As soon as she stopped before it, she banged twice, then twisted the knob and let herself inside.

The floor was starting to feel cold to her legs but Heather at the moment sincerely lacked the energy to move. She felt too giddy with her back and head arched and leaning against the mattress to worry about the cold that was beginning to spread to her lower body. Her blackberry storm was held high above her face and her shoulders also couldn't even bother to feel the pain at being there for so long. It was the only way the girl could function at the moment because if she tried to sit up her head would spin and she would tumble to the ground. It happened before which is why she was sitting on the cold floor to begin with. She had been on her way to get some sweats to put on after undressing but before making it to the dresser she tripped and fell. So after that Heather decided that she would stay there and since there was nothing to do on the floor from her position and with her inebriated state, playing with the phone seemed like the next best thing. First came the pictures then... the sending of the picture then the chaos. But it wasn't really chaos, besides the occasional brain lapse where she didn't know what in the hell to say to Eli since she was so happy that he was talking to her. Bella had been writing her also but the girl disappeared after saying she was coming over. Heather saw no reason for it, she did drink a little but it wasn't as if she needed a babysitter. Bella was being completely dramatic which was funny since she was the acting student.

The phone beeped and vibrated indicated a new text message and Heather checked it immediately. It seemed like forever since Eli last wrote her even though it was only some minutes apart, she was just much too anxious to feel like being patient and the alcohol in her system wasn't doing a great job of stopping that. She browsed through the inbox and gave a loud happy giggle to herself at reading the message.

Haha, I don't scare that easily. xD
Wyndham Hotel?
Sounds fancy. I'll definitely try to be there.
I'm always down for a decent party. Esp if you'll be there. ; )
Just wear clothing, lmfao. JK.

She grinned feeling the fluttering of butterflies in her stomach, either that or the alcohol was wanting its revenge, and was unable to hide more giggles and the blush at reading the message over and over... and over. He winked at her! though it was over text it still counted for something! so she was extremely happy and already she begun to write back. Again she was lacking words to say so the girl wrote the first thing that came to mind and with a joyous laugh at the drunken attempt of flirting she clicked send. She turned sideways and positioned herself to lean against the bed some more as she continued staring at the touch screen until he could send her another reply. Heather inhaled trying to calm the fluttering in her stomach that made her feel like jumping up and down since the girl knew that if she tried to stand she would get hit with vertigo again. The phone beeped again and she was already turning to look at the message. Before she could find the right page to access there was a loud knock on the door and she straightened up instantly out of instinct. It was a bad thing to do because her head started spinning and she had to grip the edge of the bed from being lightheaded.

When the feeling finally went away she could focus on the person who just walked in and it took her a couple of seconds to realize it was Bella. Then it was "BELLA!" a loud happy giggling scream from the girl at seeing her friend and she was already forcing herself off of the floor. Pulling on energy that she didn't even know she had until she stood and ran barefoot across the room and towards her friend. Luckily she didn't fall but managed to hold on her to spinning friend with a tight hug for support. "Bella look Eli wrote me" She pulled away from her friend barely and tried to focus on handling the phone so that she wouldn't fall forward or backwards again. A grin was on her lips and again the feeling like jumping returned full force even if she was having difficulty finding the text. "Look" She giggled again finally finding the inbox and pushing the screen forward towards her friend's vision. "He wrote me and he's coming to my party and he liked my picture"

The first thing Bella saw the moment she opened the door was Heather sitting straight against her bed, her cell phone dimming in her hand. It took a moment for Bella to realize that the girl was half naked, and for Heather to realize that Bella hadn't been joking about coming to her rescue. From then on, it was absolute chaos. An incredibly loopy, loud, and unbalanced Heather pushed herself off the floor and came spirally toward Bella, who had only a second to brace for the impact before Heather had flung herself about her friend, and was proceeding to shove her Blackberry into Bella's face. 'BELLA LOOK ELI WROTE ME' the girl squealed as she pulled away from her friend. Bella could barely even register the words on the screen, and she was starting to get a bit dizzy from all the turning around. She tried her best to hold her friend up and at the same time give some attempt at a stationary position, and she pushed the phone gently away from her face.

'LOOK', Heather insisted, and she pushed the phone back into Bella's face, bumping her nose slightly. 'HE WROTE ME AND HE'S COMING TO MY PARTY AND HE LIKED MY PICTURE!''Just wear clothing?!?!?' she cried. 'Heather! You didn't!' She tugged on the phone a bit, but it wasn't budging. 'Heather. Give. Me. The. Phone' she said through gritted teeth as she tried to pry the mobile from the girl's fingers. Pushing one hand against the girl's shoulder, she pulled on the phone and ended up sprawled halfway across the room. But at least she had the phone.

Bella pushed herself up and brushed her mangled hair out of her face. She couldn't tell if Heather was screaming at her or what, but manic bursts of laughter were flying from her lips, and she looked positively crazy. Shaking her head, Bella ran a hand through her hair and pulled up the last message sent from the Eli guy. She pounded the message out then pushed send, and chucked the phone into her purse.

Bella grabbed her friend's hand a tried to hold the phone steady so she could read. Her gaze registered the words in seconds, and upon reading the last sentence, she clamped Heather's arms by her side, did what she could to get her over to the bed and gripped her hand over the phone.
Please ignore her - she's drunk. B.

'You aren't getting that back', she said beneath her breath. She walked over to Heather's closet and pulled out a terry cloth robe, then threw it at the giggling girl. 'Put that on - do you even realize you are halfway naked?' she asked sardonically. Muttering to herself, Bella pulled a half empty bottle of vodka from between the sheets. 'That is all you drank?!?' she asked, laughing. She plopped down next to the brunette and took a swig. 'You seriously need to learn how to hold your liquor.'

It took a lot of drunken concentration to attempt to stand still and still if felt like she was standing on the edge of her toes and about to tip over. It would have been easier if Bella would have just cooperated and looked at the phone like Heather wanted her too but the girl's head was still spinning so wildly. She tried to inhale and keep a grip on her friend to share in her excitement but if felt like her legs wouldn't stop moving. She didn't have any balance and now that she was walking around the floor felt cold underneath her feet. She frowned staring down at the cement and try to steady her footing even if it felt like she was standing sideways. There was an intense pain on her arm that caused her to jerk backwards and Heather looked up with confusion at Bella who had a hell grip on her arm. It caused her pain so she tried pulling away but it didn't work, when did Bella ever get stronger then her. "Let gooooo" She whined and it came out slurred since she wasn't using her extra happy energy to speak like she was doing when she had excited. She fell on the bed and bounced and hadn't even realize that she was forced to walk to the mattress until Bella was trying to pull the phone from her. Heather pulled back because she wasn't going to release it since Eli was going to write back.

'Heather. Give. Me. The. Phone' Bella spoke sounding angry and Heather shook her head no. She tried looking mad but making the expression just became too hilarious and she ended up laughing and falling back on the bed when Bella pulled the phone and fell on the ground. Heather grinned unable to stop the laughter and giggles that fell from her lips as she tried to stop moving on the bed to balance and go to her friend. Her hand moved to cover her face and the loud laughter that she couldn't stop whenever she tried to stand up from the bed but ended up spinning and leaning on her side with a lack of energy. "oh my god oh my god" she managed through her fit as she tried to regain her breath and turn her attention towards Bella who was walking towards her closet. In a minute ago the girl had her phone and now it was missing. Heather sat up in the bed quickly and her eyes narrowed as she gave a look around the room. "Hey Bella where's my phone" She pushed off the bed, hanging on to the mattress to keep from tumbling over and landing on the floor as she looked on the bed for the phone. It was nowhere to be seen and now she was worried because she didn't get to see what Eli said. What if he thought she was ignoring him? "BELLA" She shouted because the girl was ignoring her and taking stuff from her closet. "I can't find my phone and Eli's message" she caught the robe that the girl threw and ended up back sitting on the bed.

"I'm not naked..." Heather frowned looking down at herself and realizing she really was just in her underwear. Well that would explain why she was getting cold. She put the robe on and managed to get it tangled around her arm before she could open it fully and wrap it around herself, then the problem returned and she turned to look at Bella who was drinking from the bottle of vodka. "Where did you put my phone? he's going to think i'm ignoring him Bella then he won't like me anymore and its going to be all of your fault and i'll be really mad" Heather rambled on and some of the words ended up merged together while others sounded perfect. She tried standing up again and balanced on the bed with a hand so that she could look again for her phone. She was sure that Bella had it.

Bella rolled her eyes and took an other swig of vodka. The force was strong with this one - and she was going to need the vodka. 'BELLLLAAAAAAAAAAA', the girl shouted. 'I CAN'T FIND MY PHONE AND ELI'S MESSAGE' Bella giggled - Heather said this as if the phone and message were two completely different things, and maybe, just maybe, she'd hidden them in two different places. 'I'm not naked ...' Brows raised, Bella gave Heather one look and tipped her head back. Make that a lot of vodka.

Heather continued on, questions falling from her lips in a mix of perfectly understandable English and a language native to some village in the middle of Asia. 'Do not worry about a thing', Bella said as she pulled her feet under her. 'I texted him and told him you liked him very much, but you had to get a shower. You can talk to him later, I promise' She shook her head as the brunette tried to stand - she looked like a complete imbecile and better be happy later that Bella wasn't taking more pics and sending them to people.

'Heather, sit down', Bella cried over the girl's loud garbling. 'You're going to hurt yourself in a way that won't prove to be comfortable if you get to have sex with Eli.' Yeah, sure use Eli as a treat. Bella pulled off her coat and dropped it to the floor, then pulled Heather's phone from her purse and flipped through the options. She found the photo album and immediately a picture of Heather, legs and arms wrapped around her pink fluffy comforter, appeared on the screen.

Bella tilted her head as she looked at the picture. 'Well, at least you can't see anything private ... and you're hot, so we're halfway through damage control' she mused. There was still the whole issue of why her friend was drunk though. The thought made her pause and arch her brows at Heather. 'Wait a second ... did you get drunk so you could get up the courage to send this to him?' Head shaking, she turned the phone off, keeping it clear out of Heather's reach. 'Next time you want to get drunk, you should call me first ...'

It wasn't on the bed, unless it was under the sheets or Bella was sitting on it. She held on to the sheets tightly feeling the ground shift and flip upside down under her and she almost lost her feeling. Why couldn't she stop spinning, it was getting to be such a pain in the ass and Bella just sat there with her bottle and was drinking as if the most important thing in the world wasn't happening right now. She stepped forward some trying to disentangle the robe from around her lower half because now it felt like the thing was trying to suffocate her, she liked being cold a lot more then this. "headache..." Heather whined under her breath with a frown and brought her hand to her hair to brush away the pieces that were falling all over her face and making her feel annoyed. 'I texted him and told him you liked him very much, but you had to get a shower. She heard her friend say but after that stopped listening and was grinning wildly as she approached her. "What did he say?" Heather asked loudly and trying to keep from slumping on to the floor. "You told him I was in the shower?" She giggled falling back on the at the command and crawling until she could lay somewhat on her side and be able to face her friend.

"Oh my god Bella do you think he was thinking of me in the shower?" She broke down into giggles as soon as the words left her mouth because she couldn't help it. Now Eli thought she was naked in the shower. Heather laughed some more covering her face with her hand as she crawled on the bed to lay next to her friend and lean against her arms."Bella oh my god what if he thinks we're doing stuff in the shower" Her eyes went wide and she broke out into a grin and put her face into the comforter to hold in the giggles and try to breathe. "Do you think he likes that? He's really quiet... i cant tell... we should ask him" She looked up new resolve and stared at Bella who was looking at the phone. Her eyebrows narrowed wondering when the girl found the phone since she didn't move from the bed. did you get drunk so you could get up the courage to send this to him?' Heather shook her head no and reached forward for the phone before it was pulled away. "No I was just drinking and..." She trailed off because the rest of the sentence couldn't come to her. She laughed at Bella's words because the girl was being funny and pushed back on the bed until she could bring her legs under her.

"Hey Bella asks him if he likes us in the shower" Heather couldn't stop the giggles from forming again and pushed her hair from the face deciding that she needed an answer. "give me and I'll ask him" She reached forward trying to maneuver around her friend and the bottle of vodka to get to the phone.

Bella took an other swig and sat Indian style, all the while keeping her gaze on Heather, who was busy pitching to and fro atop her mattress, and she couldn't seem to find any purchase on the slip and slide sheets. 'WHAT DID HE SAY?' wailed Heather, her voice still miles above the normal pitch. 'YOU TOLD HIM I WAS IN THE SHOWER?' Bella nodded resolutely and grinned as Heather burst into a fit of giggles. The girl crawled till she was somewhat comfortable and somehow facing Bella, her arms now free of the fluffy robe that had supposedly been acosting her of sorts. 'OH MY GOSH BELLA DO YOU THINK HE WAS THINKING OF ME IN THE SHOWER?!?'

Eyes rolling, Bella laughed out loud. 'Yes, he is definitely thinking of you naked and wet and probably hoping you're thinking all about him too', she drawled. Plopping down on top of the mangled comforter, Bella pulled a pillow into her arms and leaned on it. She took an other gulp of the vodka, which she nearly spit out at Heather's next words. 'Do you think he likes that? He's really quiet ... I can't tell ... we should ask him', she said, all worried and looking at Bella pointedly. 'Then what will you tell him if you actually talk to him and he expects details?' she queried as she reached back to pull off her heels.

'Hey Bella asks him if he likes us in the shower', Heather suggested between her giggles. 'Give me and I'll ask him.' Now it was Bella's turn to giggle hysterically. 'Oh no you don't - you aren't getting this phone' she said. 'There's no telling what you'll do with it.' She held the phone away, and at the same time tried to keep the vodka from spilling. 'Heather. Get. Off.' she said as she pushed herself close to the edge of the bed. 'Oh what the hell!'

There was no sense in it - if Heather was being an idiot at least she was doing it with supervision. Sitting up, Bella flipped the phone open. 'Fine, fine back off dear Lord!' she cried. She turned to the screen and settled back down, all the while typing in the message. Once she was done, she shoved the phone into Heather's face. 'Try and read that', she said, giggling. 'Dear Lord, you can't rely on me for anything can you?'

Heather wants to know if you'd like us in the shower. B.

'Then what will you tell him if you actually talk to him and he expects details?' Heather couldn't stop her laughter because now she was thinking of him actually wanting to know. Eli didn't seem like that type but he was a guy so why not. "Then we'd get in the shower""Come on give me" She was laughing because it was funny that she felt so weak even while she was trying to go across Bella to get to the phone. The open bottle was pushing against her stomach and felt cold but it matter cause she didn't stop but kept trying to move around it. Stupid Bella and her being sober and still. 'Fine, fine back off dear Lord!' Heather grinned and moved to sit back with a lot of effort as she watched Bella send the message.

Soon the phone was in her face and too close so that it looked blurry and she had to hold on to the other's hand to be able to read it.

Heather spoke with a loud giggle and covered her mouth because her head felt like it was spinning again. She grinned once the laughter died down and decided that she really wanted to know, it was either text him or go knock on his door to find out. He wasn't that far away but she couldn't walk right now she she needed her phone back.
Heather wants to know if you'd like us in the shower. B.

Heather broke out into a laugh and held on to the phone. "oh my god I can't believe you wrote that" Her hand covered her mouth then move to push her hair out of her face as she looked at her friend in shock. "Bella oh my god what if he says he wants to know what we're doing" She broke out into laughter again and lie back with her head against the pillows and eyes staring at the ceiling that was turning around and around. "Oh my god Bella tell him you didn't mean it" Heather spoke loudly into a scream and attempted to sit up again only to fall back. So she turned on her front instead so that she could hold her head up then she heard the phone beep and tried crawling towards Bella to get to it. She managed to get a hold on the girl's hand again to look at the message that flashed on the screen as a reply from Eli.

O_O.
Hmm, personally, I don't find anything sensual about showers, B.
But maybe if I knew what you looked like, I could make an assessment.

It took about five tries for the girl to be able to finally be able to read it then she let go of Bella's hand with a grin and loud giggle. "He even types sexy Bella" she laughed and buried her face into the pillow to breathe again. "ask him if he wants a picture of us" she spoke but the words came out a muffled mess because her face was buried in the pillow. She pulled her head up suddenly when another idea hit, with eyes narrowed she turned to look at her friend. "Hey... how come I don't have a nickname" Heather spoke with a pout and frowned. "He wrote B. I want a nickname too. OOOO tell him, tell him that if he gives me a nickname I'll give him another picture." Heather grinned then laughed loving her plan and tried sitting back again but decided to just lean forward on her arms instead. "Hurry up tell him"

Bella stared at Heather, her brows raised. It was like watching Wheel of Fortune and a drunken and slow Heather was mentally flipping the letters like Vanna White. 'Then we'd get in the shower', she said, and then giggles continued to spill from her mouth as if she'd just thought of something that would break the sound barrier. However, Bella could only stare before she finally gathered her bottom lip back to her jaw. 'Chyea, like that's going to happen' she said sarcastically. She wasn't positive, but if she had to place a bet, Bella was pretty sure Heather didn't know what she was talking about.

Bella wasn't really good at this 'drunken friend supervision' thing. She was halfway between getting Heather into the shower - on her own - and, well, bunkering down and joining in the fun boy teasing stuff. 'Oh my gosh I can't believe you wrote that' cried Heather as she held the phone steady. 'Bella oh my gosh what if he says he wants to know what we're doing', she asked, her eyes widening before she continued her laughter.

'OH MY GOSH BELLA TELL HIM YOU DIDN'T MEAN IT.' Bella pulled her head away and winced - the girl was practically screaming. Before she could say anything, the phone began to beep, and suddenly Heather was clambering next to her and gripping her hand. Bella glared at Heather, then scooted closer so she could see the screen too. 'He even types sexy, Bella' Heather said airily, and then her head was down like an ostrich. 'Ask him if he wants a picture of us.'

Bella tipped the bottle back once more, and emptied the rest of the vodka into her mouth. Dropping the bottle on the floor, Bella lay back against the pillows and began to pick at the holes in her pants. This was getting a little out of hand, and she was probably the worst person to be 'supervising' a drunken girl. 'Hey ... how come I don't have a nickname?' complained Heather, her lips forming into a little pout. 'He wrote B. I want a nickname too.' Bella could practically see the light bulb flash above Heather's head. 'Heather, he called me B because I wrote B when I texted him', she explained.

'Heather, I am sure after everything is said and done you'll get your own special, unique nickname', Bella said as she pushed her hair out of her face. She held the phone out far enough away that it could get her in the frame and clicked; the flash lit the room for a second then she rolled over onto her stomach and grinned at Heather. 'Now he knows I don't look like a freak' she said. 'Do you really want me to tell him you want a nickname? I'm almost afraid of what he'd give you.'

i met somebody cute and bonny
got each other and that's funny
Bella made her way through the dance building, her duffle swinging in one hand and her soft shoes in the other. It was about the end of the day, and classes were winding down - she couldn't wait to leave campus. Not that she really had anything at all to do, but even so she was ready to get away from the linoleum flooring and fluorescent lights. She'd replaced her soft shoes with flats and pulled an oversized sweater on over her tights and leotard; her mass of curls was still damp from her afternoon shower. A smile creased her lips as she neared the entry hall, and she took a glance through the windows of the first practice room.

A tall, male dancer stood shuffling through his own duffle, barebacked and glistening with the sheen of a fresh sweat. Bella's head tilted, and her grin stretched wider as her gaze ran along the tightened muscles of his legs and hips; his bent profile was firm and pale, and his closely shorn curls were a fiery red. Mitchell Colburn. Bella's tongue ran against her lip as she hesitated between leaving for the dorms and staying to talk to the senior dancer. Her outgoing side won over, though, as it usually did, and she pushed the handle to let herself in.

In the long mirror that ran the wall opposite, Bella got a clear view of Mitchell's ass. Her heart skipped a little beat. Damn, he just had good 'everything' form. She walked up to him, swung her soft shoes back a bit, and smacked them against his butt. 'Hey, tiger', she said with a devilish grin. She could smell him from where she was standing, and it was making her heart clammer a little. 'You still practicing?' she asked. 'Maybe you should take a break'. She see sawed her shoulders a little bit, as if this might be the funnest thing anyone could have mentioned. Well, she hoped it sounded fun - this was Bella after all. She was loads of fun.

Mitchell moved through the blast of cold Chicago wind and into the double doors of the Dance hall, moving through the double doors of the practice room of his first class for the day. He was wearing a white tee shirt a pair of black tights, it was the standard uniform for the class, luckily they weren’t going to make him wear the stupid leotard that he would likely have to wear at the end of the year in the workshop production. He loved what he did, he loved Ballet and he was good at it, but he just didn’t understand why there weren’t more fashionable and less homosexual clothing to be worn. Yes, Mitchell was straight even though he was dominated by a gay industry. His blond curls sat atop his head as he peeled off the jacket had had been wearing, the track pants following while he slipped on the flats over his feet. The class started out with stretching, his leg extended on the wooden bar as he stretched over, feeling the slight burn of the muscles in his body. Of course, it was the start of the year, and he had refrained form dancing all summer, so his muscles weren’t as loose as they probably could have been.

Before he could let his thoughts wander much more, he felt a slight tap on his ass and voice that he could pick out anywhere. The girl was one that had caught his eye the first day they had class together. Mitchell noticed dancing before he noticed features, and her dancing was something he wanted to see more of, and luckily they had the class together so he could watch all year. A small smile crept along his lips as he turned to her, his accent heavy as he spoke. ”Bella…” his small smile soon turned into a wide gren, a hand moving to the blond curls to push them away from his face. ”Havent you heard? I havent practiced all summer, Im out of shape. I need all the practicing I can get.” he leaned against the wooden bar, letting a small laugh slip through is red lips as he finished.

His eyes caught hers, looking up along her features, her collar bone, her neck, the curve of her nose and her high cheek bones. She was beautiful, and she looked exactly like a dancer should. He bit his lower lip momentarily. ”Mm.. but I suppose a break is due. Did you have something in mind?” he asked, lacing his hands together and bringing his eyes back to hers. Of course, for a brief moment, his mind wandered to what he could be doing to her behind closed doors, but they were both in the same class… there were boundaries that he couldn’t cross. Fraternizing with people in your class was never a good thing. They had seen it numerous times before, two people dating or sleeping together, then screwing up the whole class because they would need to rearrange partners. He winced slightly. He didn’t want to cause any sort of discourse in the class, or with Bella… but he still couldn’t help but indulge in the mindless fantasy of her between his sheets.

i met somebody cute and bonny
got each other and that's funny
Bella's smile mirrored Mitchell's as he stood; he didn't look altogether unhappy to see her. 'Bella ...' he said, his British accent thick. She gave a little laugh and felt her cheeks flood with colour. Damn it, if that accent didn't make her want to jump him right then and there. 'Haven't you heard?' he asked, pushing a stray curl out of his face. 'I haven't practiced all summer, I'm out of shape. I need all the practicing I can get.' Bella's brows arched, and looking him up and down, she rested her fists on her hips. 'Well ... you don't look out of shape.' She knew very well of course, that you could be out of shape and at the same time look incredible, but ... he just really didn't look out of shape at all. In fact, he looked very in shape, and she was really have a terribly difficult time keeping her eyes away from his chest, and that lovely area that began at his sternum and disappeared into his pants. Her gaze snapped back to Mitchell's face, and she flashed him a dimpled grin.

Obviously, Bella wasn't the only one checking someone out, as Mitchell's own gaze wasn't exactly meeting her eyes. The fact made her feel a little better, and she would have given half of Chicago to know what he was thinking at that moment. 'Mmm .. but I suppose a break is due', said Mitchell, his gorgeous hands fiddling idly. He met her gaze with his; the full on look of those stony blue eyes made her die a little inside. 'Did you have something in mind?' Oh, she had plenty of things in mind, though she wasn't quite positive that any of those were smart things to do when you actually had feelings for a guy. The thought made her pause, and then wince a little, as she wasn't usually one to go falling for a guy, and usually things went better when you stayed friends with a little fun on the side. Or lots of fun anyway ...

Shoving these thoughts away, Bella twisted her shoes in her hand and tried to think of something not sexual that they could do. This was proving to be harder than she thought though, so she ended up just calling out some things. 'Erm ... coffee? A walk? Movie? Snack? Uh ... I really really don't mind what we do', she rattled. Ugh, she could just feel

her skin flushing red. It wasn't very like her to go stumbling around guys and she was halfway between pulling Mitchell along to her dorm ... or just down to the floor ... and actually trying to spend time with him. Deciding she was an absolute dolt, she just smiled and shrugged, leaving it open for him to decide what to do. And to be honest ... half of her wanted him to chuck all ideas and get down to business, but what the hell spending time together might be nice too.tagged for :: mitchell <3>wearing ::xxxxx

I am trying to move my 'Deviant Artists I Admire' list into my labels list, so I thought a good way to do that would submit a post on each artist. So here goes : )

Delurianne is an extremely talented artist. She is great with details, and my favourite pictures of hers are probably those inspired from her novel, "The Cradle of Whispers". Some of her pieces are rather morbid, but beautiful all the same. I love the Victorian influences and the spidery details. Definitely check out her DA gallery - it's full of goodies : )

So I was reading something today on human gene patenting. You say what?!? That's right - idiot people think that they can patent our genes and that it is 'constitutional'. This is ridiculous. I think that it shouldn't be allowed. This is one of those things I do not like about organized society. I have absolutely no problem about a law that says that you can't kill someone or you shouldn't steal from someone - they create a good sort of order. But there are laws and rules that I think go a little far. It makes me think about way back when, when there weren't laws and rules and ridiculous things you had to do for the greater population like car tag fines (don't get me started). I think there are some things people do just because they can and I feel that this gene patenting thing is one of them. It is the human body - it's been around a hell of a lot longer than any of these scientists or whoever else is 'patenting' genes. I would seriously love it if one of the patenters came up to me and demanded to use the genes of mine that are patented. Let's see how far their proof of patent gets them when it's just them and me and I don't know, my mace.

The Only Candy a Man Should Eat

Candy that's juicy, quiet, and rumored to be made from dead horses (even the orange ones)
By Chris Jones
Men eat candy because we eat without thinking, but that's not to say we don't think about the candy we eat. Jelly beans? Reaganite. Skittles? See you at the parade. But jujubes — jujubes are the perfect combination of adult authority and childish delight. (By the way, adults call them joo-joobs, not joo-joo-bees. You want to fight about it?) People whine about some of them being made from dead horses — not the American, movie-theater brand, but the generic ones in Canada, where I do most of my snacking — but they don't know the jujube eater's darkest secret: By consuming dead horses we're taking their power and virility and making it our own. Eating jujubes is like eating powdered rhino horn or seal penis without any of the messy sociopolitical ramifications or bureaucratic hassle. Look! It's just candy! But the truth is, it's a stealthy, dangerous candy — a candy with a challenging, knowing texture; a candy that interrupts its fruity buffet with the occasional bracing blast of licorice; a candy that can be eaten in pin-drop quiet, no crunch, no rustle, and thus without recrimination from wives or healthniks. No, you feckless alfalfa heathens, we'll hide away in our dimmest corners, in our man-dens and basements, and we'll eat our jujubes — our joo-joobs — in determined silence, growing ever stronger, until one day we will rise with the thunder of a thousand of those same dead horses, our bellies hard-packed with their souls and gelatin and our teeth stained by their blood, and we will trample your pesticide-free fields, an army of raging stallions once again.

Orange ones are my favorite.

things for me to do ...

  • sort out labels
  • compile deviant artists i admire into the labels area
  • make up my damn mind on the colour scheme
  • order up the living room
  • live to see the other side of my comp and lang class

ten things for guys to think about

So every once in a while, Esquire does a feature on 'Ten Things You Don't Know About Women', and I was going through and reading them and thought I would do one of my own. Then as I was writing them out, I seemed to realize that they weren't really things men probably didn't know as much as they were just comments or 'here's what you should do's. So here we go.
  • If she takes the time to tell you she hates your Axe deoderant/bodywash/shower gel, she most certainly does - try some Old Spice, it reminds us of elegant gentlemen who like to get dirty : )
  • We really don't care about your pornographic interests as long as you aren't indulging yourself without permission in front of us - seriously.
  • Just because we dream about guys like Gerard or Sam or Hugh does not mean we don't think you're as sexy as them.
  • When we bare our feelings, don't give us antidotes - act like a woman and give us comfort.
  • You do one thing until the wedding - give us the money and get the hell out of our way.
  • Yes, we do want you to love us like Johnny Depp in Don Juan DeMarco.
  • Neat nails, yes - manicures, no.
  • We may not 'talk' all the time, but eventually we do, and word will get around.
  • Learn our sizes and always keep the receipt.
  • If we need to eat healthy and lose weight one moment, then want a box of star crunches the next, don't point it out. You will be the newest source of our newely deflated self esteem.

just fucking awesome, idk ... xD

What I've Learned: Michael Wright

At 8:48 on the morning of September 11, Michael Wright was a thirty-year-old account executive working on the eighty-first floor of the World Trade Center. Two hours later, he was something else. The story of his escape is the fastest 3,863 words you will ever read.

By Cal Fussman

Up to that day, I'd had a Brady Bunch, cookie-cutter, beautiful life. I now know what it's like to have a 110-story building that's been hit by a 767 come down on my head. For better or for worse, it's part of my life. There are things I never thought I'd know that I now know.

It was as mundane a morning as you can imagine. Tuesdays are usually the days I go out to see clients and make sales calls. I get to my office at a quarter to eight, eat a bran muffin, drink a cup of coffee, and get my head straight for the day.

I was actually in a good mood. A couple of us were yukking it up in the men's room. We'd just started sharing the eighty-first floor of 1 World Trade Center with Bank of America, and they'd put up a sign telling everyone to keep the bathroom clean. "Look at this," one of us said. "They move in and now they're giving us shit." It was about quarter to nine.

All of a sudden, there was the shift of an earthquake. People ask, "Did you hear a boom?" No. The way I can best describe it is that every joint in the building jolted. You ever been in a big old house when a gust of wind comes through and you hear all the posts creak? Picture that creaking being not a matter of inches but of feet. We all got knocked off balance. One guy burst out of a stall buttoning up his pants, saying, "What the fuck?" The flex caused the marble walls in the bathroom to crack.

You're thinking, Gas main. It was so percussive, so close. I opened the bathroom door, looked outside, and saw fire.

There was screaming. One of my coworkers, Alicia, was trapped in the women's room next door. The doorjamb had folded in on itself and sealed the door shut. This guy Art and another guy started kicking the shit out of the door, and they finally got her out.

There was a huge crack in the floor of the hallway that was about half a football field long, and the elevator bank by my office was completely blown out. If I'd walked over, I could've looked all the way down. Chunks of material that had been part of the wall were in flames all over the floor. Smoke was everywhere.

I knew where the stairs were because a couple of guys from my office used to smoke butts there. I started screaming, "Out! Out! Out!" The managers were trying to keep people calm and orderly, and here I was screaming, "The stairs! The stairs!"

We got to the stairwell, and people were in various states. Some were in shock; some were crying. We started filing down in two rows, fire-drill style. I'd left my cell phone at my desk, but my coworkers had theirs. I tried my wife twenty times but couldn't get through. Jenny had gone up to Boston with her mother and grandmother and was staying with my family. Our son was with her. Ben's six months old. It was impossible to reach them.

The thing that kept us calm on the stairs was the thought that what happened couldn't possibly happen. The building could not come down. After a while, as we made our way down, we started to lighten up. Yeah, we knew something bad had happened, but a fire doesn't worry you as much when you're thirty floors below it. I even made an off-color joke to my buddy Ryan. The intent was for only Ryan to hear, but things quieted down just as I said it, so everyone heard. I said, "Ryan, hold me."

He said, "Mike...I didn't know."

I said, "Well, we're all going to die, might as well tell you."

Some people were laughing, but not the guy in front of me. "I really think you should keep that humor down!" he said. I felt lousy. In hindsight, he may have known more than I did. Even though I'd seen physical damage, what I can't stress enough is how naive I was at that point.

Some floors we'd cruise down; others we'd wait for ten minutes. People were speculating, "Was it a bomb?" But we were all getting out. I didn't think I was going to die.

At the fortieth floor, we started coming in contact with firemen. They were saying, "C'mon, down you go! Don't worry, it's safe below." Most of them were stone-faced. Looking back, there were some frightened firemen.

When we got below the thirtieth floor, they started to bring down injured people from flights above. There was a guy with the back of his shirt burned off, a little burn on his shoulder. One woman had severe burns on her face.

We got down to the twentieth floor and a fireman said, "Does anyone know CPR?" I'm no longer certified, but I know it from college. That was ten years ago. You wouldn't want me on an EMT team, but if it comes down to saving somebody, I know how.

So me and this other guy volunteer. We helped this one heavy, older man who came down huffing and puffing, and we kept our eyes out for anyone else. "Do you need help? Do you need help?" Nobody needed help. The stairway became wide-open. It was time to go. The other guy took off in front of me. We were going pretty fast.

Have you ever been to the World Trade Center? There's a mezzanine level, then you go downstairs, which is subterranean, into this big mall. Our stairwell exited out onto that mezzanine level. At that point, I could look out across the plaza at 2 World Trade Center. That's when I realized the gravity of what had happened. I saw dead bodies everywhere, and none that I saw were intact. It was hard to tell how many. Fifty maybe? I scanned for a second and then focused on the head of a young woman with some meat on it. I remember my hand coming up in front of my face to block the sight. Then I took off. As I ran, people were coming out of another stairwell. I stopped and said, "Don't look outside! Don't look outside!" The windows were stained with blood. Someone who'd jumped had fallen very close to the building.

It felt like my head was going to blow up.

I made it to the stairwell and got down. The mall was in bad shape. It must have been from chunks of the plane coming down. Windows were smashed. Sprinklers were on.

I saw Alicia, the coworker who'd been trapped in the bathroom. She'd seen what I'd seen in the plaza and was traumatized. She was crying and moving slowly. I put my arm around her. Then there was another woman -- same thing. I put my arm around the two of them, saying, "C'mon. We gotta go. We gotta go."

We were moving through the mall toward the escalator that would take us back up to street level and out to Church Street. There were some emergency workers giving us the "head this way" sign. I think they were trying to get us as far away from the fire as possible and out toward Church Street and the Millenium Hilton hotel.

I got to the bottom of the escalator, and that's when I heard what sounded like a crack. That was the beginning of it. I ran to the top of the escalator as fast as I could and looked east, out toward Church Street at the Millenium hotel. The windows of the hotel are like a mirror, and in the reflection I saw Tower Two coming down.

How do you describe the sound of a 110-story building coming down directly above you? It sounded like what it was: a deafening tidal wave of building material coming down on my head. It appeared to be falling on the street directly where I was headed.

I turned to run back into the building. It was the instinctual thing to do. You're thinking, If you stay outside, you're running into it. If you go inside, it might not land there. So I turned and ran into the building, down into the mall, and that's when it hit. I dove to the ground, screaming at the top of my lungs, "Oh, no! Oh, no! Jenny and Ben! Jenny and Ben!" It wasn't a very creative response, but it was the only thing I could say. I was gonna die.

The explosion was extreme, the noise impossible to describe. I started crying. It's hard for me to imagine now that when I was on the ground awaiting my doom, hearing that noise, thousands of people were dying. That noise is a noise thousands of people heard when they died.

When it hit, everything went instantly black. You know how a little kid packs a pail of sand at the beach? That's what it was like in my mouth, my nose, my ears, my eyes -- everything packed with debris. I spat it out. I puked, mostly out of horror. I felt myself: Am I intact? Can I move? I was all there. There was moaning. People were hurt and crying all around me.

Then I had my second reckoning with death. I'm alive, yeah. But I'm trapped beneath whatever fell on top of me and this place is filled with smoke and dust. This is how I'm gonna die -- and this was worse. Because I was going to be cognizant of my death. I was going to be trapped in a hole and it was going to fill with smoke and they were going to find me like one of those guys buried in Pompeii.

I sat there thinking of my wife and son again. It wasn't like seeing the photos of Jenny and Ben that I had on my desk, though. The images I had were of them without me. Images of knowing that I'd never touch them again. As I sat there, thinking of them, I suddenly got this presence of mind: I gotta try to survive.

I tore off my shirt and wrapped it around my mouth and nose to keep some of the smoke out. I started crawling. It was absolutely pitch-black. I had no idea where I was crawling to, but I had to keep trying. It's haunting to think about it now.

I saw a light go on. I can't say I was happy, because I was horrified, but that light was hope.

Luckily, I was buried with a fireman. I got over to him and stuck to this guy like a sticky burr on a bear's ass. He was frazzled, but he had it a lot more together than I did. I was like, "What are we gonna do?" You can't imagine the ability to have rational thought at that point. I was purely in survival mode. It wasn't like, The smoke is traveling this way, so I'll go that way to the fresh air. It's whatever presents itself.

The fireman looked like a big Irish guy. Big, bushy mustache. He had an axe. He was looking at a wall, and it looked solid, but when he wiped his hand on it, it was glass, a glass wall looking into a Borders bookstore. There was a door right next to it. He smashed the door and it spread open.

Everyone gravitated to the light. Now there was a bunch of us. People were screaming. We got into Borders, went upstairs, and got through the doors heading outside. The dust was so thick, there was barely any light.

At this point, I still had no idea what was going on. I didn't know if we were being bombed or what. I didn't know if this was over or if it was just beginning.

I took off into the cloud. I crossed Church Street, and some light started coming in, and I could see a little bit. I saw a woman standing there, horrified, crying, lost. I stopped and said, "Are you okay? Are you okay?" She couldn't speak. I kept going.

I went along Vesey Street, using it as a guide. It started clearing up more and more, and I got to an intersection that was completely empty. That's where I saw one of the weirdest things -- a cameraman near a van with the NBC peacock on it, doubled over with his camera, crying.

I was all disoriented. I saw a turned-over bagel cart, and I grabbed a couple of Snapples. I used one to rinse out my mouth and wash my face. I drank some of the other. Then I started running again. It was chaos.

Even though I'd been around these streets a million times, I was completely lost. I looked up and saw my building, 1 World Trade Center, in flames. I looked for the other tower because I always use the two buildings as my North Star. I couldn't see it. I stood there thinking, It doesn't make sense. At that angle, it was apparent how devastating it all was. I looked up and said, "Hundreds of people died today." I was trying to come to terms with it -- to intellectualize it. My wife's family is Jewish, and her grandparents talk about the Holocaust and the ability of humans to be cruel and kill one another. This is a part of a pattern of human behavior, I told myself. And I just happen to be very close to this one.

Maybe it seems an odd reaction in hindsight. But I was just trying to grab on to something, some sort of logic or justification, rather than let it all overwhelm me. I was raised Irish-Catholic, and I consider myself a spiritual person. I did thank God for getting me out of there for my kid. But I also tend to be a pretty logical thinker. I'm alive because I managed to find a space that had enough support structure that it didn't collapse on me. I'm alive because the psycho in the plane decided to hit at this angle as opposed to that angle. I'm alive because I went down this stairwell instead of that stairwell. I can say that now. But at that moment, I was just trying to give myself some sanity.

I was still running when I heard another huge sound. I didn't know it at the time, but it was the other tower -- my tower -- coming down. A cop on the street saw me and said, "Buddy, are you okay?" It was obvious that he was spooked by looking at me. Aside from being caked with dust, I had blood all over me that wasn't mine. He was trying to help, but I could tell he was shocked by what he was seeing.

I was looking for a pay phone to call my wife, but every one I passed was packed. My wife never entertained for a minute that I could be alive. She had turned on the TV and said, "Eighty-first floor. Both buildings collapsed. There's not a prayer." It was difficult for her to look at Ben because she was having all these feelings. "Should I be grateful that I have him? Is he going to be a reminder of Mike every time I look at him?" At the time, these thoughts just go through your head.

Finally, I got to a pay phone where there was a woman just kind of looking up. I shoved her out of the way. I guess it was kind of harsh, but I had to get in touch with my family. I dialed Boston and a recording said, "Six dollars and twenty-five cents, please." So I pulled out a quarter and called my brother at NYU. I got his voice mail. "I'm alive! I'm alive! Call Jenny! Let everyone know I'm alive!" It was 10:34.

I started running toward where my brother Chris worked at NYU. I'm the last of six in my family. The two oldest are girls, the four youngest, boys. Chris is the second oldest above me. The classic older brother. The one who'd put you down and give you noogies. He probably would have had the best view of the whole thing going on. But he'd left his office, thinking, My brother is dead. He walked home to Brooklyn across the Manhattan Bridge, unable to look back.

On my way to NYU, I met this guy - -a stranger named Gary -- who had a cell phone. He tried and tried and couldn't get through to Boston. I said, "I gotta get to NYU" and left him. But he kept calling Boston and eventually got through to my family. At that point, four of my five siblings were at the house. My wife's father was on his way from New York with a black suit in the car.

The people at NYU took me in. They were great. I said, "I don't need anything. Just call my family." They kept on trying to get through. They couldn't, they couldn't. Finally, they got through.

I said, "Jenny, it's me." And there was a moan. It was this voice I'd never heard before in my life. And I was saying, "I'm alive. I'm alive. I love you. I love you. I love you." We cried and cried. Then the phone went dead.

At that point, I went into the bathroom to clean myself off, and suddenly I couldn't open my eyes anymore. They were swollen. I knew I wasn't blind, but if I opened my eyes toward any amount of light there was intense, intense pain. I didn't feel this while I was running. It seemed to happen as soon as I was safe and the adrenaline came out of me.

At the NYU health center, the doctors said, "Yeah, your eyes are scratched to shit." They put drops in them, but they needed more sophisticated equipment to see what was going on. I wound up having 147 fiberglass splinters taken out of my eyes.

Chris came back from Brooklyn to pick me up, and I held on to him and hugged him. Later, he said, "You know, Michael, this is why I stuffed you in sleeping bags and beat on you all those years as a kid. Just to toughen you up for something like this."

When we got back to my place, I collapsed and it all hit me. I cried like I've never cried in my life. I finally let loose, and it felt better. My brother helped me pack, and we got to Westchester, where my wife and family had gone. Jenny came running to the door. I can remember hearing the dum, dum, dum, dum, dum of her footsteps.

My mother was there. My dad. My father-in-law. They all hugged me. Then they gave me my son. I could tell by the noises he was making that he was happy. I hugged him and sort of started the healing process there.

Later, I went to Maine to sit by the ocean for a few days and get my head together. I saw all of my old friends. It was amazing. Everyone I know in my life has called me to tell me they love me. It's like having your funeral without having to die.

For a while right after, I wondered,

How the hell am I going to work again? How am I going to give a damn about selling someone a T-1 line? I had a list of people who were going to be my business for the next year, hundreds of people, all on my desk -- blown up. For the life of me, I can't dredge up those names. That will cost me a quarter of my income, maybe more. You know what? Who cares? I'm alive and I'm here. A big deal has gone to big deal.

I lost a friend in 2 World Trade Center. He was one of those guys you liked as soon as you met him. Howard Boulton. Beautiful person. His baby was born three months ahead of mine. He was on the eighty-fourth floor and I was on the eighty-first. The last conversation he had with his wife was by telephone. He told her, "Something happened to 1 World Trade Center. It's very bad. I don't think Michael Wright is okay. I'm coming home." I like to think Howard wasn't scared like I wasn't scared in the stairwell. I like to think that he heard a rumble like I heard a rumble and then he was gone.

I went to his funeral. To see his wife and his baby -- it would have made you sad even if you didn't know him. But it was much more loaded for me. Here was a perfect reflection of what could've been.

One of the hardest things I had to deal with up to this point -- and still do -- is that my brother Brian, who's one year older than me, has cancer. He and I are practically twins. He has germ-cell cancer in his chest. He recently told me that the good news is they can go in and get it. But the bad news is they might have to take a lung with it. Before September 11, maybe the fact that he was going to lose a lung might have thrown me for a loop. But I found out I love my brother for my brother. I don't love him to run up mountains at a brisk pace with me. My reaction was: Thank God they can get it.

Luckily, I've been well equipped to deal with this. I have a family that's unbelievably close and supportive and a lot of friends. I've been to therapy, and I can do the whole checklist: Do you have a sense of fear and not know where it's coming from? Yup. Can you no longer take pleasure in things you once took pleasure in? Yup. Claustrophobic? Yup. I have nightmares. I jump when I hear a siren. But it's the smell that haunts me. Talk to anyone who was within ten blocks of it and they'll tell you that. I had vaporized people packed up my nose, in my mouth and ears. For weeks, I was picking stuff out of my ears.

I've been giving myself the space to be a little freaky for a while. I don't think this is going to turn me into Rambo or motivate me to go out and sleep with nineteen-year-old girls. Yeah, it's gonna bug me for a while. I'm gonna have some scars on my brain. But I don't think it's going to affect me long term.

I don't wonder, Why me? Some people say, "You made it out; you're destined for great things." Great, I tell them. I made it out, now why not put a little pressure on me while you're at it.

In the reflection of the hotel windows across the street, I saw Tower Two coming down. I dove to the ground and started crying. The explosion was extreme, the noise impossible to describe. That noise is a noise thousands of people heard when they died.

>.<

My Comp and Language Persuasive Essay on a Graphic Design subject is due in six hours and I have no clue what to do it on. I keep telling myself, "Just one more week - just a few more days" but NO I cannot take it! This is so aggravating! Does anyone else find it absolute ridiculous that a language professor require that whatever you write in the class, the subject must pertain to your chosen field?

smarterfox

So if you are like me and use Mozilla as their web browser, you probably have at least once checked out the add-ons they provide. I have a few, and I thought I would show you the one I just downloaded today. It is called Smarter Fox, and it's really neat. When I highlight something on a page, it brings up this cute little button that has six options on it ::
It's pretty handy, and you can also add it to sites of your own. I added it here to my blogger, and the add-on promises that you guys will be able to do the same on my page too. You should check it out and see if you like it, and while you're at it look around at the other really cool add-ons like Adblock Plus, Zemanta and Yoono.

sam worthington ... *giggle*

While I am on Blogger, and have no muse whatsoever for class, I thought I would bring to your attention the September (and heavenly anointed) issue of Esquire Magazine. An other all star cover and article by one of my favourite magazines. I even forgot to highlight last month's (Gerard Butler - *drool*) Three words - yeah he is, said in a very 'Can he be any hotter?' Chandler-like tone..

Sam Worthington- known to most of you as Marcus Wright, the character who blew 'superstar' Christian Bale's John Connor out of the water, and anyone's minds who had him pegged for their next movie (thank the Lord omg - he only has one movie that's been publically announced so far) ... You will see him next in Avatar, then Clash of the Titans - he's even getting Captain Nemo in 2,000. And of course, the roles will keep coming. That thing sort of happens when a 'great' like James Cameron pegs you as the best actor of all time or such.

Anyway, I can't be on too much longer - I do have a deadline for homework, after all. But please, please check out the article on this guy - I don't know why, but I just adore him. He's awesome. He makes me want to send him out to dig a hole or do something else that will get him dirty then show him off to all the girls in the town and say, 'Look at this guy - he's hot and he isn't pretty like that thing you call a 'man' you've got on your arm'. I dunno - I have a thing for guys who can be dirty. I guess I like to be more delicate than the guy I'm with? *Shrugs*. Anyway - he's awesome, just check him out <3>
EDIT ::
And yay! A new Sam Worthington website!!! One of the best - he might just beat out Hugh Jackman for my Jon XD

(picture of a dirty sam worthington in titans - woo!!!)

ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I just really want to go to sleep. I hate my class. I cannot get anything down in notepad that is anywhere near colour or psychology or graphic design ... This teacher is an absolute dolt. And I am really sleepy. And I cannot wait to get out of this class.

victoria ...

So it is official ... Bryce Dallas Howard, who also plays my Aife, is going to be playing Victoria in Eclipse, the third installment of the Twilight film series. To be perfectly honest, I abhorred Twilight, the first film, and thought they seriously exaggerated the drama from the books. BUT - it is Bryce Dallas Howard, whom I love, so of course I cannot wait! So now I have an excuse (unfortunately) to see not only the second film (come on - it's Jacob's book!) but also the third ... not that the films are going to be making any money off of me. I'll wait till they're available with my Blockbuster-Netflix-wanna-be subscription thingie. But yay! This means more pics of Bryce, and most likely vampire-ish pics as well!!! How awesome is that?
